I think it was all just a hypothesis <br />The moment I saw this beautiful scientist <br />She was so lovely like the glow of Neon <br />Erratically smart as if like Newton <br /> <br />And every time she’s next to me <br />An elusive feeling consumed my anatomy <br />Then it appears that my heart; <br />Could no longer pump and tore me apart <br /> <br />Without any hesitation, I did an experiment <br />Will I win her heart or just a failure complement? <br />The very best scientific way I have done <br />But nothings change at all and leave me none <br /> <br />Several days had passed <br />I couldn’t think how long it would last <br />She talks to someone, I felt anxious <br />She lingered on them, and then it makes me envious <br /> <br />When the time I’m in this library <br />I’ve read a page that sounds so creepy <br />It talks about; and teaches me, <br />A Love potion that I could ever be <br /> <br />The days apace and the time has come <br />Let her take it or let her drink some <br />Now, the sleepless nights will be paid <br />I need to give it to her the potion I made <br /> <br />But as just the moment she drink <br />She grew wan and died gradually in my wink <br />I completely shudder from fear <br />And turn my back with my inevitable tear <br /> <br />I quiver and swiftly run <br />To the library where I started my plan <br />I review the dusty old book <br />Have a glance, skimmed and look <br /> <br />“Just a dropp of a scorpion’s blood” <br />I think twice, I never thought it could be bad? <br />“A piece of scale of a rattle snake” <br />Am I doing this for my love’s sake? <br /> <br />And now, I know, <br />That it wasn’t a love potion <br />I cry and grief, <br />That I made a killer poison.<br /><br />Raymond Cabrera<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/it-is-a-love-potion/
