Far across in the sea <br />Storming, roaring angry waves <br />An ant fought to save its life <br />From the furious, endless sea <br />Finds a block of wood <br />And weeks after saves its life <br /> <br />On a dreadful new moon night <br />Nothing was visible to them <br />Feared were they <br />Cursing the dark they moved on <br />A small candle burnt itself, sacrificed <br />Itself to illuminate their ways <br /> <br />She failed today, hiding her face <br />Herself hopeless, helpless she felt <br />She went on hill to commit suicide <br />Overheard the talks coming from cave <br />Ant was smiling on the candle’s fate <br />The candle admired the ant’s strength <br /> <br />She then came to sense, felt ashamed <br />Motivated by the angels of God <br />She thanked them, came back again <br />With a smile on face, with a spark in soul <br />She worked hard, has she achieved her goal<br /><br />KUMUD RANJAN<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/hope-is-life-2/
