My heart held captured by snow storms <br />Surrounded by icicles of different forms <br />A world of silence and covered by snow <br />Feelings of peace and serenity I can't let go <br /> <br />Then without much notice you came around <br />And my world is crumbling and breaking down <br />You know that I never asked you to melt my icy wall <br />But you did it anyway and I lost my security and all <br /> <br />Now you are residing right here in my heart <br />But you dont let me find you from the start <br />I know that you exist only in my dreams <br />But I will keep searching for you - it seems <br /> <br />You left me out in the cold and without protection <br />But you are not real yet - only a vague reflection <br />Understand that I could become anyone you want me to be <br />Because you are my savior and only you set me free <br /> <br />Only you broke through layers of debris and time <br />And I must say that the possibility of us is truly sublime <br />I long to see your smile and a spark in your eyes <br />I am so tired of pretense empty compromises and lies <br /> <br />I often think of you and if you could love me <br />Wishing for a crystal ball to finally find you - you see <br />You broke through to my heart and opened a wide door <br />So walk on through already and come to the fore <br /> <br />© 2011<br /><br />Kristina Louisa Carr<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/breakthrough-10/
