I've been taught not to buckle, <br />From a cursing done. <br />Or fall on my knees with anguish, <br />When my way is blocked. <br />And my steps become delayed, <br />With expressed dismay. <br /> <br />None of my dreams seemed, <br />To have been dangled like a carrot... <br />As if to tease until someone believed, <br />I had earned the merit... <br />To be the 'me' I have paid the price to project. <br /> <br />And not a stage or spotlight did I seek. <br />Who knew such decoys would be effective? <br />Only I knew what I sought to reach! <br /> <br />Perhaps those that did not know that, <br />Planted obstacles on the wrong road to teach. <br />Or the path of my choice... <br />Was not suspected to be the one I chose! <br />Or one that I could successfully complete. <br />Either way, <br />Naysayers are easily spotted when on the move!<br /><br />Lawrence S.
