The good daughter <br />Knows no relief <br />She holds the hands <br />And cleans every sheet <br />She is brokenhearted <br />But can't show defeat <br />She comforts and mends <br />As is her intention, she attends <br />to the Mother she defends <br />and protects as best she can <br />Unable to seek dreams or plan <br />She lends her love and helping hand <br />as best she could <br />because it's understood <br />That if the table was somehow turned <br />the other surely would <br />And this is love best expressed <br />as so one should<br /><br />JAMES T.
