In a deep purple haze, <br />coated in ultraviolet rays, <br />I am captured and caught, <br />deep in convalescent thought, <br />dreaming during the day, <br />full of tales of the fey, <br />leading to your heart’s desire, <br />and to what you aspire. <br />Whether it is some heavenly fantasy, <br />or reliving some part of history, <br />here you are in your own world, <br />with treasure gemmed and pearled, <br />as a sea-faring, swashbuckling pirate, <br />leading and tempting your own fate, <br />as whatever you want to be, <br />a special haven for you and me. <br />All people are welcome here, <br />as all new horizons are clear, <br />although reddened by sunset, <br />the long and unsettled debt, <br />is subdued by the fireside, <br />where the dreamers confide, <br />until those ultraviolet rays, <br />release us from our dreamy daze.<br /><br />Dale Mullock<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dreamy-daze/
