I live day to day, <br />Doing my best to stay out of everyone’s way. <br />I try to keep a low profile, <br />Yet still offer a few small smiles. <br />Do my work, then go home, <br />Still only as noticeable as a garden nome. <br />I get to the fairgrounds with my horse, <br />Expecting ‘normal’ to run its course. <br />The gate opens, and I look up, <br />And for a second my heart erupts. <br />You smile at me and keep on walking, <br />I trot to catch up and we continue talking. <br />You seem so genuine, gentle and sweet, <br />My doubts, I no longer have to keep. <br />Wether we’re just friends, or more than that, <br />My confidence gets one big clap.<br /><br />Lucky You<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/day-to-day-5/
