As I gaze into the shattered reflection, I can see into my soul <br />My life’s going no where fast and why is dying so damn slow <br />The paths I’ve walked down aren’t the paths I had to choose <br />But the past is over now, and there’s nothing we can do <br /> <br />Black cats and broken mirrors the only things I’ve ever seen <br />I’ve stepped on cracks and under ladders, this is all I’ll ever be <br />Black cats and broken mirrors, the only things that fill my life <br />Now I just sit and stare as death slowly passes by <br /> <br />As I look into my broken past I see the things I could have been <br />But my path is chosen now, time for my new life to begin <br />As I look back on a life that was broken, cursed and shamed <br />I can see there is no one now, I’ve only got myself to blame<br /><br />Justin Terrell<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/black-cats-and-broken-mirrors/
