It's time. <br />The day when you fall on your knees. <br /> You pray. <br />To whomever you once believed in. <br />Hoping your savior will hear you. <br /> <br /> Your family and friends mourn the loss of your once invisible body. <br /> you are invisible. <br />They have never seen you until now, because you were invisible. You are not invisible to them, and yet you are. <br /> <br /> You recognize lost loved ones, and you see ones you do not know. <br />You try to reach out and talk. <br />but you cant. <br /> You feel dead inside. <br /> Your stomach flips <br /> You haven't eaten in days. <br /> <br /> You look out. <br />You are on a plane above the snow. <br />No, you are alone walking in th snow. <br />Either way you are searching for humanity. <br /> <br /> The sun takes up half of the sky. <br />On the other half, the moon. <br /> <br /> The snow is like fog, carressing the cheek of the lake, going in for one final kiss. <br />Thin <br />symmetrical. <br />Perfect. <br />Just like raindrops coming down from the gray clouds. <br /> <br /> You wish they were invisible. <br />They would understand how they have mistreated you. <br />But they aren't. <br /> <br /> You are alone. <br />You can't go on like this. <br />No one loves you. <br />No one asked. <br />No one cared... <br /> <br /> You are invisible. <br />You are loved now. <br />You are missed now. <br />You are with your own. <br />The invisibles. <br /> <br /> Not lost by the people who turned you down. <br />But gained by the people who accept you for you. <br /> <br /> Maybe you will find love then. <br />After the day when it all ends. <br /> <br />(2/24/2011)<br /><br />Kyle Ofe<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-day-when-it-all-ends/
