That Blue Violet haze of shimmering Sun
And rolling Sea of flickering Dance
With Golden Sand and rounded Stone
The Gulls pecking and stabbing
At long dead Fish and Stars that shine no more
And Crab like Bones in disused Pools
Line and litter the Sun drenched Shore
Tiny Feet and tiny Hands
Probe the round pebbled Stone of ages past
And Fossil Wood and Charcoal Branch
Lie like Tombs upon the Sand
Rocks fall like fall they must
And Trees shake and tremble within the Sky
Gnarled Roots grasp the ephemeral Soil
The clutter clatter of peoples voice
Ring out like joyous chord
And Cornet White and China Cup
Chink amongst the Pirates hoard
And when its time for Sun to set
The Orange disc Dances upon the Fish Bone Sea
And takes a bow for all to see
And Sun will rise and Sun will set
Upon that Fish Bone Sea.

David Burton Richardson

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-sunny-day-in-amroth/
