Awoken from my dreams in the dead of night, <br />I sit upon my window ledge and witness natures battle, <br />The sky rages violent war upon the earth, <br />Raindrops dance like maddened assassins, <br />Flashes of lightening illuminate land and sky, <br />The picturesque landscape of my existance lives, <br />Thunder rumbles boom across the wide open spaces, <br />The melodious pitter patter of new fallen rain entrances, <br />Yet mother earth embraces her attacker effortlessly, <br />Once again she takes all the storm has to offer, <br />And as my eyelids become heavy with sleep, <br />My body weary from the activities of the day, <br />My soul sated with memories of this monumental event, <br />I slip back into my bed and drift back to dreams... <br /> <br />Spread the love...
