The joy comes in the morning. <br />Only through the mourning. <br />The labour pain before the birth. <br />The birth of the joy. <br />If I have never felt sorrow, what would make joy so special? <br />The sun rises, <br />It is the dark that gives birth to the light. <br />As it is the pain that gives birth to the joy. <br />Was I robbed of joy? <br />Or did I rob myself? <br />If I ask why me, am I wishing my lot on someone else? <br />Then it is my joy I am willing to someone else. <br />Healing is the result of hurt. <br />A battle not fought, is a battle not won. <br />Victory can only be understood, <br />Once defeat has been experienced. <br />When I lose, I still win. <br />True balance in every situation, <br />Is always in the center.<br /><br />Ryan Lee Morris<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/sunrise-104/
