In the worries of these past nights I have found a stone.
Our precious stone.
The one we mined from the royal earth- only ours to covet.
I’d give anything to be wherever you are if that is what love is.
I do not know what love is or what love means
What I do know, however, is the tingle under my skin when you walk through the door
And that when you smile oh when you do smile
The cold air disappears and the warm breeze rolls round.
That is where I want to be.
My precious stone. The only beauty I have known.
I have taken for my journey, the cooing of the birds and the light in the cloud’s eyes
Along with the laughter on your face as you sat
Before winter’s fire and the snow colored your braids,
The pink dropp on each lip, the night’s ride into dusk
Only one thing I ask of you, sweet thing
Remember us.
Remember what we professed but couldn’t confess
Remember me.

tina mishael

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/remember-me-17/
