A knife straight through the heart, <br />Is What it felt like to me. <br />When I told you the truth, <br />I thought you'd understand. Why couldn't you see, <br />I trusted you with all I was worth, <br />with all of my dreams. <br />I thought that I could trust you! <br />But not everything is always what it seems. <br />You used to be on my side, <br />But now you're on his. <br />Now you act like it doesn't matter, <br />like we're not even your kids. <br />You told me that you cared, <br />You said that you'd be there. <br />How can you lie straight to my face? ! <br />You said that you'd believe me! <br />But when I was lost and confused in the dark, <br />You weren't there to retrieve me. <br />So, there I was in the dark, alone, <br />And where were you?
