’I’
born with me as a child,
‘ I’ was suppressed
Then slowly it released with the time
‘I’ came to be stronger than me
Inflated like a balloon
No way can it compromise
Only burdening me with pain
Bringing a false pride in me
Causing more destruction to me
Yet this I, contrary to all
Gave me immense pleasure
From simple human
I transformed me
Into aggressive and arrogant man
More and more as I moved around
It inflated, within me causing
Many conflicts and clashes
And around me creating
Many chaos and misunderstanding
For once it coerce me to think
What is the use of this I?
Why is it born with me?
I pray, it dies down before it is released
from the prison of every human heart

kalpana shah

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-176/
