She grins at me with smile so sweet. <br />She strokes my beard, it feels so neat. <br />She rubs her hand across my chest, <br />And pats my back, was this a test? <br /> <br />She sees the pleasure in my face. <br />She knows my eyes cannot betray, <br />Exactly what goes through my mind, <br />When her kisses bless me anytime. <br /> <br />She’s what my life is all about. <br />I brag of her and never flout. <br />The passion she puts into my soul, <br />And drags it out, that keeps me whole. <br /> <br />She’s everything in the world to me. <br />She’s all I want or will ever need. <br />She’s my guardian angel sent from above. <br />Besides her beauty she is purest love. <br /> <br />She never walks away from me, <br />Where my eyes don’t follow longingly. <br />When we’re apart it sure is hell. <br />I’ll see her soon, so all will be well. <br /> <br />Why did it take so long to find, <br />This angel who has become mine? <br />I think it shows a lot of class, <br />When you save the very best, for last! <br /> <br />The treasures of this world are found, <br />In lakes and rivers and underground. <br />But the greatest treasure of all to me, <br />Will always be one word called “She! ”<br /><br />Robert Edgar Burns<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/she-239/
