In the beginning there was nothing <br />The earth was cold <br />God brought forth man <br />Told him to start a world <br />A world where things were in harmony <br />The man knew nothing of harmony <br />So god brought forth woman <br />And in the end there was music <br />And as god cast him out <br />The dark lord said on to him that he shell get his revenge. <br />As people stand at the gates of judgement <br />They hear the cries and moan’s of those who repent against the dark lord. <br />The devils laugh is loud and hard as he watches people suffering so. <br />Sitting out on the hot rocks of hell. <br />They hear him sing his song revenge. <br />But above all god sits and smiles. <br />Cause he’s playing the game he’s got things under control. <br />Through the universe is a song of satisfaction. <br />The song in which the angels sing, <br />To the sinners and non-sinners <br />God walks over to his mirror on which he can see the universe. <br />Looks down and sees disaster after disaster <br />And knows what he must do he must destroy <br />Everything and start over again <br />He’ll start over by just putting one man on earth (a new Adam) <br />Build a world of harmony one of love and music <br />And if man knows nothing of harmony <br />He will bring forth woman (a new Eve) <br />And in all the dark lord will survive. <br /> <br />But man can destroy him with the music <br />The music of the angels <br />The music has to be hard <br />The music has to be loud <br />Just as his laughter is, <br />It must be as hard as rock <br />So it must be rock <br />Rock to roll over the devil <br />And destroy him <br />So all will be saved <br />And in the end <br />Only the music will survive.<br /><br />robert ortiz<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/only-the-music-will-survive/
