What is the difference? <br />Between my sun, and you, <br />Is it the distance you are apart, <br />Or is it the things that you do? <br /> <br />I can honestly say, <br />That there is no difference, <br />You are my shining light, <br />You are my guidance, <br /> <br />You are high in my sky, <br />You are the thing that I need, <br />You my only existence, <br />My reasons to succeed, <br /> <br />Days that you are dim, <br />Are the times when it’s cold, <br />When I am holding you in my arms, <br />My hearts ready to explode, <br /> <br />You are the thing I wake up too, <br />To keep my heart pounding strong, <br />I can look out of my window, <br />But I cannot stare too long, <br /> <br />The sun is so bright, <br />It blinds my eyes, <br />But than I seen something brighter, <br />And it caught me by surprise, <br /> <br />I found my new warmth, <br />Something that took my breath, <br />Just like the sun, <br />It’ll follow me till death, <br /> <br />You are always there, <br />You always shine down my path, <br />You never go too far, <br />So I can always feel your wrath, <br /> <br />All it takes is to wake up, <br />And I can always see you there, <br />Even though it is a blinding light, <br />I just cannot help to stare, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Without the sun, <br />We cannot continue, <br />But because of you, <br />I have something to rescue, <br /> <br />Because you rescued me, <br />You’ve given me so much more, <br />I’ve been gaining the love from your heart, <br />Now let me show you what my heart has in store, <br /> <br />You give me my day, <br />You give me my night, <br />You give me the energy to go on, <br />You gave me something to fight, <br /> <br />You give me darkness, <br />So I can fall asleep, <br />Yet you continue to keep me warm, <br />It continues to dive so deep, <br /> <br />Deep in my heart, <br />Deep in my own life, <br />I have found the true sun, <br />I have found my wife, <br /> <br />Three words I will say, <br />Three words that’ll forever be true, <br />Three words that says this all, <br />Three words…I love you.<br /><br />Joshua Hillard<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/my-sun-10/
