The line sailed through the air in reconnaissance <br />and somewhat suspended above the noise of silence <br />depositing its' offering only to be declined <br />Rejection, again, and again, and again <br />Like a typewriter refusing to go no further the right <br />demanding satisfaction from the very fingers that brought it to life <br />But then, just then…….. the present mirroring the former <br />signals as the water erupts in unequal portions <br />and the bottom compresses, thrusting the magnificence in the air <br />for a brief moment…. <br />only to leave visions of a limp lateral line….<br /><br />Jake Deeds<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/water-ballet/
