'I think I'm going to die
as I don't feel at all well
I've gone right off my food
and I've no taste or smell.
My head is now thumping
and my chest is really tight
I keep on going faint and dizzy
in fact I don't feel right.
But please give me no sympathy
just some kind words instead
but get me some more tablets
and plump up the pillows on my bed.
Remember I'm a tough and macho bloke
and this illness won't ever beat me
but could you get me a hot water bottle
and make us a really strong cup of tea.
Quick call out the Doctor right now
as I think that I may not have very long
it's alright you standing there laughing
when I'm dying but trying to be strong.
It's a miracle but I feel better today
even though the doctor said it was just Flu
so you can cancel the funeral arrangements
as my manly strength must have seen me through!
