Three or Four inches of snow <br />and the country shuts down <br />everybody on Red alert <br />in the Villages, Cities, and Town. <br />Schools are hardly open <br />so kids go Sledging instead <br />Trains delayed and Planes grounded <br />so we may as well all stay in bed. <br />We all want Snow at Christmas <br />but it usually arrives too late <br />then when it finally appears <br />we panic and get into a state. <br />But other countries seem to cope <br />and they have it worse than us <br />while they get on with things <br />we moan and whinge and make a fuss. <br />So let's get back our Bulldog spirit <br />but I fear it may be far too late <br />we have to admit it we've gone soft <br />so our Island alas is no longer great!<br /><br />Kevin Halls<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/it-s-snowing-3/
