Records from the past <br />playing on the radio <br />sending you back in time. <br />The Stones getting no satisfaction, <br />and The Who talking about their generation <br />the Beatles are in a Yellow Submarine. <br />Us kids with our wooden rattles, <br />clicking them along to the tunes on the Tannoy <br />great fun before the teams came out. <br />Records remind you of where you were <br />good and bad times come flooding back, <br />that one was during our relegation season. <br />Others can bring a smile to your face <br />when I heard that record come on <br />it took me back to when we won the Cup. <br />Football and music go hand in hand <br />every club likes to take a pop song <br />and put in their own words. <br />Singing brings the fans together <br />players listen to sounds before a match <br />stadiums are venues for Rock concerts. <br />You hear songs being sung in bars, <br />every club has their very own Anthem <br />unique only to that particular team. <br />But the best sounds come from the terraces <br />the greatest choirs will be found there <br />Football fans can really sing a tune. <br />So yes Football and music go together <br />just go along to a game and listen, <br />but even better why not sing along!<br /><br />Kevin Halls<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/football-and-music/
