A foot gently taps the surface of the cold floor <br />Her hand sifts through her unkempt hair <br />She knocks over the glass of mango juice <br />It free-falls in slow motion; crash <br /> <br />The floor gets sticky, a splash of yellow, <br />She lifts her legs up to the rotating chair <br />Rests her chin on a pillow, fingers drumming <br />Upon the table that aches to rid of her <br /> <br />The night lights slowly dim, they die down <br />Vehicular noise no longer ached her <br />With the push of a finger on her spectacles <br />Her body dial involuntary grips onto her <br /> <br />Memories, thoughts and forsaken desires <br />Pierce right through her sanity, she screams <br />But silence blanketed the white-washed walls <br />The night lights crept away, the floor shifted <br /> <br />Mascara dripped from her soaked eyes <br />Frozen to her spot, the gentle breeze <br />Dances through her tousled hair of black; <br />Fading into Darkness, It whistled her closer<br /><br />Janine Alyssa Navarro<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/crash-13/
