Destiny keeps on spinning <br />Why does it seem like every time I get close. <br />Again the bad guys keep on winning. <br /> <br />She speaks of things I have never seen. <br />She acts like she is total into me. <br />Another flavor of curiosity. <br /> <br />Someone that has it all mapped out. <br />The happily ever after. <br />In my dreams I can wish. <br /> <br />As I close my eyes and try to sleep. <br />I'm wishing for that castle to keep. <br />She doesn't understand. <br /> <br />The good life when things are so easy. <br />A silver spoon of just the right size. <br />A marriage that goes just right. <br /> <br />But she will not make a single sacrifice. <br />No she is not willing to get in the ice. <br />So alone I walk on this road so cold. <br /> <br />Abandoned by love. <br />Or maybe I abandon it. <br />I don't really know because I'm already numb. <br /> <br />I live in the world of constantly being shocked. <br />A million kinds of torture as tests. <br />But I am still standing. <br /> <br />She will never get it. <br />It not all about success. <br />Yes it gives you a head start. <br /> <br />But anyone can fall off of a horse. <br />I'm down here and I already know how to carry my own weight. <br />What happens when you reach your mistake? <br /> <br />Will you become another ghost? <br />Were you a leech with the world as your host? <br />With champagne did you make your last toast? <br /> <br />I did all I can. <br />Does it make me any better of a man? <br />Emotions dripping right out of my hand. <br /> <br />A blood soaked letter. <br />He's already forgotten. <br />And to think you just met. <br /> <br />If indifference is the ammunition. <br />What do you think is the weapon? <br />Living life in a cruel world.<br /><br />Ace Of Black Hearts<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/cruel-world-13/
