I feel: <br />Like the dewdrops that melt at the touch <br />Of the first sunbeam; <br />The mercury of a thermometer, broken, <br />Dancing to and fro; <br />Like the globules traversing, <br />On a lotus leaf; <br />Like the taste of butter in a spoon. <br />Melting into the pink warmth of the tongue. <br /> <br />I find: <br />That dreams still float in the depths of my slumber; <br />The Sun, as new as it had been yesterday; <br />The roads deserted, an occasional bark of a dog; <br />Moonbeams, still dancing like a little girl; <br />On my windowsill. <br /> <br />I know: <br /> <br />Tomorrow is new, but I am today; <br />That time: it’s ticking away; <br />Hope floats, like the autumn cloud; <br />That love is eternal, denial abound; <br /> <br />I need: <br />The envelope, you are so afraid to show; <br />The heartbeats, for you to see and know; <br />The dreams that are tucked away so neatly <br />Inside the fiery mind; <br />To play hide and seek, <br />In the galaxies that wind; <br /> <br />You know: <br />It all comes to naught; <br />When I see you; <br />You are the one; <br />I sought, in the heat and dew; <br />I forget to move; <br />When your breath moves around; <br />My head reels like galaxies, kisses so intoxicating; <br />I forget what I lost and found; <br />I wish that time froze or vanished; <br />The fourth dimension never to be found. <br />It rains, when love is showered; <br />Like the dark grey clouds, released and empowered; <br />I want you, even to the point my heart repels; <br />When you are never there, even when you are not around.<br /><br />Shruti Goswami<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-feel-50/
