I don’t think about you at all <br />But sometimes when it rains, <br />And then when the sun shines <br />Down a bit too much, <br />When the clouds come floating <br />With a smear of sunbeam that touch, <br />The sky or the horizon of my mind, <br />I think of you. <br /> <br />When the thoughts come and go, <br />Like brilliant flashes of lightning <br />Trying to escape the blue <br />Come surging through <br />And kiss the earth with dew. <br /> <br />I don’t think about you at all, <br />But when the night falls <br />Silently, stealthily <br />Or dawn breaks like a soul <br />That yearns for love, <br />When the dusk sets with a sweet smile <br />Amidst fading skies <br />And the stars they lit up effortlessly, <br />Like sparkling wine, <br />Your thoughts creep in, <br />Like birds returning home <br />After a long flight <br />To where they belong. <br /> <br />And I feel determined <br />As I lay wrapped in thoughts <br />Not to think of you again <br />Like I do everyday.<br /><br />Shruti Goswami<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/think-69/
