Life was ending, <br />Memories were bending <br />The light was no longer burning, <br />And there was no more learning <br /> <br />Each day passed with ignorance <br />On seconds of minutes was relevance <br />And the road sloped downwards <br />Who would have thought of any survival? <br /> <br />Because no one knew about the struggle <br />She kept it inside and hidden the story <br />But one thing was never missing <br />And that were the tears <br />Running down her chicks every night <br /> <br />Love was still pending <br />But pain was still spending <br />Yet a boy knew nothing of her, <br />His heart kept on suspending <br />Deliberatly the good love offered by the fragile love <br />Innocent enought to be genuine <br /> <br />And she cried every night <br />Not because she was in pain <br />Not because her heart was broken <br />And not of the boy being oblivious <br />But mainly, kindly and sincerely because <br /> <br />She is deprived of an opportunity <br />To bring lots of joy to him <br />Lots of happiness, <br />Lots of smiles, <br />And live a life of long miles <br />But dead was the boy's mind <br />In state he knew nothing of love <br /> <br />That's the girl who laughed <br />Even when the joke was not funny <br />That's the girl who laughed <br />Even at the end of the hunny bunny <br />That's the girl who loved <br />The women who loved him<br /><br />Anele ''The African Son'' kaPotelwa<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-girl-who-loved-for-real/
