I’d love to go back, <br />To the days when I had pigtails in my hair, <br />When id sing at the top of my lungs, <br />And dance around everywhere. <br />Id love to go back, <br />To the days id jump on the trampoline, <br />And the biggest problem in my life, <br />Was my siblings being mean. <br />Id love to go back, <br />To the days id spend hours in the pools, <br />And the biggest craze was tamagotchis and walkmans, <br />And if you didn’t have one you werent cool. <br />I wish I could go back, <br />To the days id run around in the park, <br />Where id spend hours playing with friends, <br />And things werent so hard. <br />I wish I could go back to the days, <br />When Saturday Disney was on TV, <br />And id wake up so early on a weekend, <br />Just so I could see. <br />I wish I could go back, <br />To singing every Hi 5 song, <br />I knew every song that ever played, <br />And id sing it all night long. <br />I wish I could go back, <br />To the days I’d play with my Barbie Doll, <br />Where I had hundreds of different types, <br />And I’d play with them all. <br />I wish I could go back, <br />To the Primary School days, <br />Where all we’d do is play sports, <br />And our lunch is what we would trade. <br />I wish I could go back, <br />To wishing I was a teen, <br />But now I look back, <br />And my childhood has come and been. <br />I didn’t realise how fast life comes, <br />And our life is going by, <br />We need to stop and enjoy each moment, <br />Because it goes in the blink of an eye.<br /><br />Koula Politis<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/go-back-9/
