When I drove around, <br />I drove to nothing, <br />As many times I do. <br /> <br />For the charted trails, <br />And mapped out roads, <br />Are marked with too many knowns. <br />I would rather go to the unknown, driving in my car. <br /> <br />When I reach that nothing, <br />I know what to do. <br />I can imagine new rock formations, <br />And new waterfalls, that never existed, <br />On this jungle area of rock. <br /> <br />The challenge to form somewhere out of nowhere, <br />Gave me thrills. <br />I made swinging monkeys on trees, <br />And anything else I wanted. <br /> <br />So my nowhere turned into a somewhere, <br />And I drove the car home in great satisfaction, <br />Only the next day, driving off into another fun nowhere.<br /><br />Vera Sidhwa<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/when-i-drove-around/
