I want to become a child once more <br />I want to play with my toothbrush once more <br />I want to grow up once again <br />I want to play with plastic toy train. <br /> <br />I want to live like a child <br />I don't want to remain in this jungle wild <br />Allow me one more chance to grow <br />I still enjoy the story of pigeon and crow. <br /> <br />I want to play hide and seek <br />I want to ride bicycle on street <br />I want to make models of clay <br />I want all my friends with me to play. <br /> <br />I want to go to school <br />I want to hear the music of school bell <br />I want to savor the ice cream <br />I want to be seen laughing in dream. <br /> <br />I don't want to decide which car to buy <br />I enjoy choosing which kite to fly <br />I love using my fingers to fiddle with a revolving top <br />I hate using them beating the keys of my office laptop. <br /> <br />I am fed up of repaying my old loan <br />My ears start aching after a day of talking on phone <br />I am scared of manic mondays <br />I want in my life some picnics and fun days. <br /> <br />I won't mind studying hard <br />I won't mind bearing the burden of report card <br />I won't mind carrying truckload of books on my shoulder <br />I won't mind getting scolded by teacher. <br /> <br />Please take me out of this dragon mouth <br />I don't want to be a part of this unending joust <br />Take my car, take my bungalow <br />God, give me just one more chance to grow <br />just one more chance to grow. <br /> <br />(17.08.2011; New Delhi; India)<br /><br />Anshul Gupta<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-want-to-become-a-child-once-more/
