Tis true nature has been a lover
Till winter's grip transpires
A love unconditional
Oft my poetic soul inspires
But an angel my heart has smitten
Like a lazy summer day
The magic of a sun set
Or when autumn colours take the stage
Her smile gives name to beauty
Jeweled eyes sparkling bright
In amongst the tome fill'd shelves
Shone forth a guiding light
I paused for but a moment
Wishing time I could be'still
O'er power'd by enchantments
Anon my dreams at night would fill
Her name an elusive pleasure
Yet several came to bare
Each to praise and o'er flourish her
She my thoughts hath so ensnared
Oh cherish'd nature be not dismay'd
We muses romance must persue
Lest sweet love slight'd feel
Turning Cupid's arrow a tad askew

John A.
