I have dreams of driving in a storm <br />frenzied and amok <br />thoughts tear of from the rind of the soul <br />the darkness collides with the lightning flashes <br />and your face is all i see <br />and your voice is all i hear... <br />yet when i wake up <br />the sweat on the temple <br />and the strident din of the heart <br />is solaced by a cold comfort <br />hanging right in the front of my eyes <br />a picture of yours and mine... <br /> <br />Home is where i walk every night <br />missing home.. <br />for the banshee within <br />wails the horror of loneliness <br />and i like a consequence of succumb <br />plummet inside the void of delusion <br />only to get ready <br />and leave this world one more time... <br /> <br />i have dreams of falling down from the sky <br />where St. Peters dubbed me unforgiven <br />and the hell has locked its door <br />only to push me <br />into an incorrigible abandon <br />back to suffering and pain <br />and the shackles smother me.. <br />only till the point of relentless suffering <br />and not to let me loose <br />while i crave to be set free <br />and a resonating 'no' is all i hear <br />is all i feel... <br />and then drown in a temporary comma <br />only to rise up again <br />and fall harder, deeper, greater... <br /> <br />i have dreams... <br />of chasing myself away... <br />into a shallow of no return... <br />and all i do is get awake.. <br />when all i want is an 'escape'!!!<br /><br />Shagun Khera<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dreams-of-driving-in-a-storm/
