A Little Girl....Befriending Mine <br />Laughing in their Pigtails <br />Mutual Nods...Her Mother and I <br />But I Say Nothing..... <br /> <br />That Girl attending High school <br />Her Friends and Music Loud <br />Relieved my daughters' not that Sort <br />And I Say Nothing..... <br /> <br />I Saw her Walking All Alone <br />Sad...and Quite Forlorn <br />I Simply Stare and Turn Away <br />But I say Nothing..... <br /> <br />I've Heard her when she Argues <br />The Voices Fill The Air <br />Day in; Day Out...it goes on <br />And I Say Nothing.... <br /> <br />I See Her Battered..See Her Bruise <br />I Judge..And Make Excuses <br />Not My Fault She Chose This Path <br />But I Say Nothing...... <br /> <br />I Watch Her Weeping in the Park <br />She Seems So Drained....So Empty <br />An Awkward Smile As I Move Past <br />And I Say Nothing...... <br /> <br />I Read about Her Suicide <br />The Papers say She Jumped <br />This Girl Was Trapped with No Way Out <br />And I'd Said Nothing...... <br /> <br />I Feel The Pain...Her Mothers' Grief <br />The Way I Felt My Own <br />I Hear Her Silent Cries of 'WHY?
