Is there a possible way to cope? <br />My abandoned heart only unfolds <br />The secrets of my mind never fail to end <br />Taking me back time and time again <br />Awaiting the restoration of a new day <br />Releasing and defining the insanity <br />The here and now but just a thought <br />As if in existence but time forgot <br />Weeds of love instantaneous nothings <br />Hold me back from greatness, that one thing <br />Twinkling darkness all in one <br />It's like the daybreak with out the sun <br />Forces like magnets attract, repel <br />Dive on into that empty wishing well <br />Dreams extend but nothing more <br />Like walking into a clear closed door <br />Saved for a moment then memories fade <br />Open my eyes and the world isn't changed <br />Emptiness all but a distant friend <br />Colors of light begin to blend <br />Saving myself from the danger inside <br />Scoping to see where everything hides <br />Again and again my hand is out stretched <br />No one grabs a hold, I am by myself <br />Like shattered glass there my heart lies <br />Painful beating until it dies <br />Today disappears but yesterday comes <br />The fight is over but no one has won <br />The rain falls up, then back down <br />This is how I live, with out making a sound<br /><br />Kaitlin Schmidt<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/abandoned-heart-2/
