What an amazing site to behold <br />A branch of nature to witness unfold <br />In a picturesque manicured garden <br />A humming bird feeds leisurely <br />Apparently transgressing an unseen line <br />He is set upon by a large butterfly <br />No chance of catching him, but it'll try <br />An amazing chase with a fluttering gait <br />Such a thing I couldn't contemplate <br />Natures rules apply for all, even insects <br />To control territory and to protect <br />This bird has no teeth to eat fruit <br />But this butterfly will have none of it <br />And sets off in hot pursuit <br />Neither has this butterfly a taste for flesh <br />So conflict will amount to a safe contest.<br /><br />brian roy skyers<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/territory-2/
