Faces are bland <br /> <br />As they sit on the train <br /> <br />People staring aimlessly <br /> <br />As the scene from the window passes by <br /> <br />You glance at the faceless people as they come and go <br /> <br />To an unknown destination that only they know <br /> <br />Then your imagination gets the best of you <br /> <br />As you sit and wonder who they are <br /> <br />An old man sits alone next to you <br /> <br />His sad eyes speaks volumes of a lonely life <br /> <br />You can see his proud chin lift up in defiance <br /> <br />As younger man bumps and passes on by <br /> <br />Young man in questions ignores the old man <br /> <br />To try and chat up the young pretty girl that caught his eye <br /> <br />She giggles and laughs as he winks at the girl <br /> <br />Bats her long lashes at such a handsome man <br /> <br />Further on down sits a very young mum <br /> <br />Who holds onto her child for fear of flight? <br /> <br />Young child in question looks at his mums stern eyes <br /> <br />And resigns to the fact that he can't run away <br /> <br />Then the clatter of wheels and chugging of Train <br /> <br />As your stops comes to view and you smile to yourself <br /> <br />I think these train rides will be more fun <br /> <br />If I just let my imagination just run wild <br /> <br />© Kaila George 2012<br /><br />Kaila George<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-train-ride-2/
