Yellow jacket's kisses taste familiar but they <br />burn caustic and unusual not at all <br />sweet like I remember <br />Like she's turned her back but unsheathes <br />a false stiletto and stabs with slashing emotions <br />She used to flaunt flashing gold threatening <br />alluring half smiles but now <br />she wears purgatory's sickly pale pastels <br />while she keeps her creaking ebon knuckles <br />fluttering over bone dust ivories <br />Playing dirges for the crushed and pitiful remains <br />of all that don't pay homage to the <br />-spawn- <br />-slave- <br />-queen- <br />of their hexagonal prison complex <br />If yellow jacket swings her stinger into my ribcage <br />like a saturnine iron cracking my bones <br />in massive aggressive fool frontal assault <br />I'd silently take such a senseless beating <br />with no protest <br />I've never been a mourning person <br />but even when they carried compelling hints <br />of sweet nectar <br />her serrated embraces tore deeper <br />than any sting ever could<br /><br />Charles Darkly<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/yellow-jacket-3/
