The wonder of it all, memories i recall, when I was young and ten feet tall. <br />There was no end in sight, future was bright, the page was up to me to write. <br /> I look back to memories cast, I remember when I saw you last now distant past. <br />The last word's I heard you say, is son I will be ok, and I just smiled and walked away. <br />The value's you taught to me, are worth more than one can see, or even be. <br />All I can do is try, and never make you again cry, until I see you once more on high. <br />When i climb the golden ladder, and reach the here and after, see your smile and hear your laughter. <br />We will have to start another chapter, when we are together, where memories dont matter<br /><br />jack green<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/when-memories-dont-matter/
