I am going to a Saturday night party, <br />Where I can meet my primary buddies, <br />I enter into the closet to pick up a dress, <br />The dress I bought for my recent birthday, <br />Looks very dull and everyone had seen, <br />The Christmas dress got frills, not thrills, <br />The office attires too formal, not clamorous, <br />The one with spaghetti strap, gone too small, <br />The matching cardigans of all hues, <br />A few are embroidered, painted and plain, <br />The skirts are either too long or too short, <br />The chiffon, cotton, nylon and Chinese silk, <br />Tropical batiks where the nature is intact, <br />Laced Stockings with hot pants, may look odd, <br />Designer's gowns that are hung for years, <br />Never touched for once for Saturday night fever, <br />Walk through the closet third time around, <br />Still confused what to choose and display, <br />At last I decide and my decision is final, <br />I am going for shopping to buy a new one.<br /><br />veeraiyah subbulakshmi<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/party-time-8/
