outside my window a nightingale sings, <br />All the things could be swim before my eyes <br />a senator, a police officer, a lawyer <br />Hollow praise and heartfelt criticism fill my ears. <br /> <br />Beside of me there lies a picture of my love, <br />Not long ago she let her soul fly free like a dove. <br />Why pull the plug on something so beautiful? <br />I am sick of wailing, sick of crying. <br /> <br />i want to see my love again, <br />I want to live my life a new. <br />This cannot be, <br />Why has this curse fallen unto me? <br /> <br />In my hand I hold a knife, <br />Outside boils the night with rage <br />what better way to end my life? <br />Thunder roars approval of God himself. <br /> <br />Suddenly warmth flows through me, <br />As it did when my love smiled upon me. <br />The sun shines through the clouds, <br />Then the world becomes clear and colorful. <br /> <br />How shall I live with out my love? <br />Then I see on a branch a tiny dove. <br />It stares at me for a moment then flies away towards the clouds. <br />Now I know she is still with me, <br />I shall never question this again.<br /><br />Nicholas Abaddon<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/without-my-love/
