When I was a little girl <br />all tucked away in bed <br />My eyes would suddenly open <br />So much going around my head <br /> <br />I knew that very moment <br />back in my room it be <br />I didn't have to look <br />as my mind could always see. <br /> <br />'Oh no...not again' <br />I would think in my bed <br />The monsters back here again <br />the one that's black and red. <br /> <br />The battles start in my head <br />I cannot hear a word <br />just pressure..oh so much now <br />and a mocking that is heard. <br /> <br />Shhh...be so still <br />Under the blanket I would slide <br />Pressure making me physically sick <br />there is no where else to hide. <br /> <br />I feel another presence now <br />this one..He's a Friend <br />He will keep me safe from it <br />and to it..put an end. <br /> <br />There is someone else also <br />something always in the hall <br />a man in black tails and hat <br />a man so very tall. <br /> <br />This one laughs..waiting for me <br />and around him death is near <br />he's waiting to take me with him <br />take me right away from here. <br /> <br />For a long Time these attacks went on <br />eventually they ceased to be <br />but still here with me now and then <br />tucked away in my memory. <br /> <br />I ask You Lord..if they were real <br />or just a small child's mind <br />I'll wait for You to answer <br />although I know what I will find. <br /> <br />A member of that household <br />come to me one day <br />and started talking of those days <br />and then preceded to say... <br /> <br />One night..in bed..awoken <br />to a strange man in the hall <br />he was dressed all in black <br />and oh so very tall. <br /> <br />Black tails he was wearing then <br />an old top hat on his head <br />A strange looking visitor.. <br />A friend of yours? ..she said. <br /> <br />Now I had my answer <br />now to ask..just why? <br />I stand a little overwhelmed <br />do I laugh or do I cry? <br /> <br />The things that I had 'dreamed' back then <br />were all so very real <br />Things beyond earth's knowledge <br />and You were there Lord...I could feel.<br /><br />Sharon Maree Smith<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/beyond-earth-s-knowledge-part-i/
