Flowers on a grave, <br />petals on the water, <br />shadows on a hillside, <br />rain cascading down; <br />snow, like scattered gems, <br />dancing in the air, <br />things that once were lost, <br />now, surprisingly are found. <br /> <br />Ripples on a pond, <br />geese, racing in the sky, <br />cold that stuns the face, <br />willows bending in the wind; <br />stars, falling out of heaven, <br />northern lights aglow, <br />roads that are too short, <br />roads that never end. <br /> <br />A book, you can't put down, <br />a book you soon forget, <br />songs that make you laugh, <br />songs that make you cry; <br />paintings oh so grand, <br />art that leaves you breathless, <br />all these make you wonder, <br />but, we're not sure just why. <br /> <br />Love that ends in pain, <br />love that ends in joy, <br />love that lives forever, <br />love that bans all fears; <br />the end work of a dream, <br />the substance of life, <br />the finish of a goal, <br />that satisfies the years.<br /><br />David Lessard<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/reflections-201/
