Whenever I see her, I see the definition of love. <br />However, it’s not that often we are close. <br />We used to be, but then I dropped out, <br />But still wishing that I could hang with her the most. <br /> <br />No matter who else I fall for, <br />She’s impossible to completely get over. <br />Her cute, bulging cheeks when she smiles or laughs <br />Among a million other qualities demand that I have her. <br /> <br />The sun could never set on our relationship, <br />That’s if one would ever be allowed to form. <br />I wish I had the confidence to tell her, <br />But possible consequences could put me in a bad storm. <br /> <br />I’m caught between a rock and a hard place here. <br />I feel she’s either the life of me or the death of me. <br />Funny how love is the most troubling feeling we desire, <br />Especially when it’s the one feeling to truly set us free. <br /> <br />Her friends have little or no respect for me, <br />But what matters is what she thinks. <br />As I have had a hidden love for her for so long, <br />The longer I wait for hope, the more my heart sinks. <br /> <br />Please oh please, my most sweetest dream, <br />Hear my cry and open your arms to me for comfort. <br />Your requited love would be more angelic than Heaven itself, <br />And it could save my life if you threw just one little flirt.<br /><br />Stephen Cahill Furlong<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-definition-of-love-7/
