So many times in life <br />have my eyes deceived. <br />My heart has led me the wrong way. <br />I have found the flowers of beauty, <br />To be the ones I'm told to, <br />Not the ones I actually see. <br />Foreign films now dubbed, <br />No longer subtitled, <br />Music suddenly gleeful, <br />Folky routes now vanish. <br /> <br />Where did I go to hide? <br />How long have I been in suspended space and time, <br />Just waiting for someone to say, <br />I'll save you. <br /> <br />And there you were. <br />To remind me that daffodils are my favourite, <br />That music can make me shine, <br />That loneliness is never loneliness <br />When within your heart I stay. <br /> <br />On sweet love, <br />How we watch this world through Paris eyes, <br />Romance and passion, <br />I never sleep without you, <br />Your heart, our love, <br />Wonderful points in which I change, <br />Change for the better, <br />Change to be me. <br />Hold me in your thoughts <br />For with you I cling to love.<br /><br />Phillip Knight<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/paris-eyes/
