sometimes, i just feel like my heart will collapse.. <br />like my eyes have exuded my soul.. <br />like after all of my effort, my pain will relapse, <br />and i'll fall back into that dark hole.. <br /> <br />the hole's but a ditch; i've climbed out before, <br />but the time that you're in, you will parish. <br />you'll no longer be; you're just bones on the floor, <br />you'll have lost sight of all that you cherish. <br /> <br />you'll know you're not right; you'll fight to undo it, <br />but your efforts will all be in vain. <br />for no matter how hard you try to escape it, <br />the fix will remain yet arcane. <br /> <br />time will go by; the world will move on, <br />but you will no longer be in it.. <br />you're still stuck in that pit… lifeless and gone, <br />a real waste of space on this planet. <br /> <br />sick thoughts will start weaving their ways through your brain, <br />and you'll actually start to consider.. <br />what good would it be for the world to remain <br />than give in to death's sweetest bidder? <br /> <br />you'll find a sharp knife, a rope, a gun. <br />you'll write your very last letter: <br />the note that explains the reasons you're done, <br />and how it will make everything better. <br /> <br />this is the moment that splits coward from brave; <br />the moment that frees or condemns.. <br />for the cowards are cursed to be pain's greatest slave, <br />but the brave condemn their souls and survivors.<br /><br />Brittany Reedy<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/hurting-in-the-dark/
