I long to turn the pages of history <br />Of sound-sound shining days <br />Behind the measuring span of time <br />Where the vision of Miracle shone <br />Not miracle- <br />But as the moderns say <br />(The world of miracle <br />Where divine majesty played) <br />That made the nation shine bright <br />With bright halo round her head. <br /> <br />Today- <br />Too closely to my heart <br />Too brightly to my eyes <br />Too sweet musing to my ears <br />And too enthusiastic to my soul <br />Snatches me swift to that region <br />That the screens of memory uninherited <br />The pages of history all ravished <br />Still- <br />Still my heart is bending <br />To one miracle more <br />Miracle- that might transport my heart <br />To that span <br />Where I could see the Majestic sights <br />And talk to Majestic lips.<br /><br />Vivek Tiwari<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-want-to-turn-the-pages-of-history/
