Hardly remembered and mostly unnoticed <br />are certain things in this world in all the times <br />Humans we are! Hardly do anything without motives <br />We rear the cattle for milk and flesh <br />We grow the crops for yields from them <br />We build the dams for power and cultivation <br />We do good things at times to get noticed and solicited <br />We make offerings to God partnering Him in all our deeds <br />Nothing fails us in any of the above most of the times <br />Rare to find anything done without expectation <br />Exception is the one that is parental love <br />We Bring up the children and provide them a future <br />We raise our children in a devout way <br />Wishing only their welfare at all the times <br />Wealth we create for them to enjoy <br />Vouch before all we don’t need anything in return <br />In our heart of hearts we still have a wish <br />We crave for their love, affection and concern <br />Lucky how many, time only decides!<br /><br />Somanathan Iyer<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/human-nature-35/
