It isn't like it used to be <br />There's no such thing as truth <br />They've all been abused too much <br />We face corruption of the youth <br />There's no such thing as peace <br />Within a persons mind <br />Because if you dig deeper <br />Destructions what you'll find <br />Destruction you've created <br />By digging up that hole <br />It doesn't even matter cause you've captured a true soul <br />Broken torn and ruined <br />From burns of cigarettes <br />Getting high on rooftops <br />And life of no regrets <br />Giving it up easily <br />You see and you want more <br />There's no such thing as innocence or trusting anymore <br />And what about plain friendship <br />The one without the jealously <br />The kind when youre like siblings <br />And it isn't all in jeopardy <br />Everyone is guilty of what is said above <br />One more thing that breaks a heart <br />The power known as love <br />Have you ever felt it? <br />Is it just a myth? <br />I could never tell you but I hear that it's a hit <br />A hit of pain <br />a sudden rush <br />a bunch of lies <br />that are too much <br />A bright long Burst of energy <br />when I'm with him and he's with me <br />But there's no him.. <br />And There's no me <br />And I'm not here <br />I am a dream <br />I'm dreaming that this will all pass by <br />You say time flies <br />I say time cries <br />If you saw within the tortured eyes <br />That make ones body paralyzed <br />You'd realize why there's nothing left <br />A hint of dust <br />A shortened breath <br />It very slowly disappears <br />You're left there with your hopeless tears <br />It isn't like it used to be <br />There's no such thing as truth <br />Something has to rearrange <br />We have to change our youth.<br /><br />Kay Tee<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/it-isn-t-like-it-used-to-be/
