I asked God for a miracle <br />I prayed every day <br />I said if You love me <br />You'll do this today. <br />I didn't expect it, <br />But He heard, it went through. <br />What I had wished for was done just for you! <br />The longing was over <br />The pain was no more. <br />I can love you outside now, <br />Not behind a closed door. <br />So when I approached you <br />To tell the good news. <br />You threw out my heart <br />And you left it all bruised. <br />I was no longer your problem, <br />You left me unsolved. <br />Yet I swore to you that if you wanted to love, <br />That my arms were open, <br />My bruised heart unrepaired, <br />Would wait just for you, though you left me in despair. <br />Why I keep going, why I want to fight? <br />Because I promised that one day I would make things go right. <br />I told you that I never fully gave up. <br />There was always a chance that we'd get our good luck. <br />But no matter how much I gave my all to you. <br />You never loved me close to how much I love you. <br />Your focus was her <br />I was a mere distraction. <br />You belittle and curse me <br />You want a reaction. <br />All of them warned me!
