Transparancy and accountability are never up front, <br />Appointees and politicians could be pulling a stunt, <br />To hide and avoid a scandal so push the button marked delete, <br />And nothing can be done because politicians are so elite. <br /> <br />And our appointed elite senators may be up there near god, <br />It looks like they can do anything they like and just get a nod, <br />Expenditures are not the same when aristocrats are involved, <br />So there may not be a need to have this whole scandal solved. <br /> <br />Or maybe, just maybe, it can all be swept under the rug, <br />And those friendly media moguls can just give a shrug, <br />And that’s all there is because there aint no more, <br />And as you leave the room; please close the door.<br /><br />James Bredin<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/transparancy-in-government/
